mamacita, miss izzy, It hasn't even been a week since we said goodbye and you began your journey across the rainbow bridge. The hole in my heart and soul is sometimes more than I can bare. i go on those long walks that we used to always do, every day, until they became too much for your aging frame. along the way, i have fond memories of watching your little pit bull bottom wiggle to and fro as you walked proudly in front of me, leading the way on our adventure. people would stop us in the street and tell me what a beautiful dog you were and how your markings were gorgeous. I always thanked them, but I kept thinking i had nothing to do with that. i think about how we rescued one another when i was alone, living in houston tx and looking for canine companionship...and you came along. soon, we were joined by your 3 puppies, LG, Bruiser and Roamer. Unfortunately, lg left us way too soon, so you two are together now. i cherish our time together and i am sorry i couldn't protect you from the ills that would take over your body. we had almost 13 full years together...letting you go was a struggle....and i had to tell you that i would be okay before you would begin your journey...you worried about me until the end. i love you my dear girl and i hope that wherever you are, you feel love, joy and safety.
