Argus was 15 years young with the spirit of a General and a heart as big as the whole outdoors. Argus was a strong old man who insisted on his walks, always knew what he wanted and would look at us with his “General Attitude” and “Master & Commander Bark” until we figured it out for ourselves. He greeted us every day with his dignified and insistent presences but in the evening and at night the softy would come out. He’d spend time with Dad on the couch, under the blankets of course, watching TV only later to sneak into bed with Mom, slip right under the covers, head on the pillow next to mine, snoring quietly happy as could be. Argus found a special place in our home and in our hearts and will forever be our Little General.
